In 1984 Mark Thatcher built the first sports sandal out of inspiration and a little ingenuity. Ideal for rafts and rapids of the Colorado. His creation combined the spirit of a sandal with the soul of a shoe. TevaŽ soon became synonymous with a better way to amble through the outdoors.

Everyone knows community is one way to save the planet. And Teva is doing its part. Working with events such as Reggae on the River, Telluride Bluegrass Festival and the 17 stop Liquid Lifestyles Tour, Teva promotes the outdoors as more than an activity, but a way of life.
Teva Supports the Right Thing
Being a part of the community is also a responsibility. Teva's Green Team ensures daily conservation and recycling efforts within the company. Teva's support extends to such groups as the Grand Canyon Wildlands Council, Surfrider Foundation, Friends of the River, the Coastal Watershed Council and the Nature Conservancy. In addition, the Liquid Lifestyles Tour brings together 16 groups to raise money for over 35 regional environmental groups and conservation organizations across the country.
