Vin Baker has been at the “fore-front of fashion” since 1951, always combining “value” along with “fashion”. Our products are always up-scale, “on fashion’s edge” but still a little understated. We pay particular attention to the quality , function and details of each bag.
Through-out the years, Vin Baker products have been the choice of many celebrities and TV Show stylists. We understand that an up-scale fashion handbag makes a “strong personal statement”. We also think that it should reflect a lot of “personal pride in ownership”. With this in mind, we use only the finest leathers and hardware available. Consequently, we import all of our leathers and hardware from Italy and mostly from the “Tuscany Region”. Most of our leathers are “Vegetable Tanned”. This tanning process uses only the natural extracts from Chestnuts and the Mimosa plant and therefore the more harmful chemicals that are commonly used in the regular commercial tanning process are eliminated. We never use “pigment dyed” leathers and instead of accepting “tannery runs” we “hand select” each hide at the tannery before shipping it to the USA. Each VIN BAKER bag has been custom made by leather craftsmen who have many years of experience making fine leather products, most of them were trained in the Louis Vuitton Factory. Most of our bags are made of “natural leathers” and are “custom-made”. Therefore, on occasion, you might see some of “natures little wrinkles” or small “imperfections”. This is a merely a “bench mark” of owning a custom-made bag made of natural materials that haven’t been stamped-out and mass-produced.
